17 of 41WHY #1Rich had a rough first year, but it won’t hurt him here because we’re only talking about the last three. It’s all pretty simple; over the last three seasons, Rich leads the league in highest scoring average, is second in wins and has failed to score at least 1,000 only five times, while topping 1,500 points 17 times (both league high’s). He’s also tied with the most high scores (7) and has 11 divisional wins. He’s not only the only team to win his division in all three years, he’s the only team to win more than one. Oh yeah, he’s also won one championship. His one flaw…since winning his first and only title in 2003, Rich has been upset in the first round in both 2004 and 2005.

13 of 41WHY #2Griff’s a close second behind Burrier. He leads the league in wins (five more than the next person below him) and is tied with Burrier in divisional wins; managing one division title. His playoff record over the past three seasons in an impressive 7-2, nobody else has three wins (this is the second best three-year span in league history behind Robio’s 7-1 in ’99-01), however he’s the only team to make it to the title game three straight seasons. He loses out on the top spot because despite all his success, he’s only 4th in scoring and has produced only three high scores in 41 games.

14 of 41WHY #3Coming off a rough 2005, it’s easy to forget that Calderon has been one of the more successful teams in the league since he joined three years ago. Altough he’s only produced one winning season, he is third in the league in scoring, he’s won 11 divisional games and has produced only one low score in three seasons. He’s scored over 1,000 an inpressive 36 times in 41 games and knocked out fourteen 1,500 games, tied for second in league. Also, when it comes time for the post, Rich doesn’t falter, making it to the second round in both his trips.

17 of 41WHY #4I know what you’re going to say; a man with a losing record sitting in the fourth spot? Come on, Robio, you’re losing it. However, over the past three years, there are only four owners with winning records. I will have to give myself the ‘unlucky son-of-a-bitch’ award (with Jeff/Colby) a close second. I have managed only a 21-23 rccord over the past three years despite the fact I’m second in scoring over that stretch. I’ve also scored seven high scores and in 41 games I’ve scored over 1,000 in 37 of them (league best). I’ve scored over 1,500 points 17 times (also a league high). Although I’ve always consider 1,500 the big number, I’ve scored over 1,400 in 22 of my last 41 games; that’s over half! To show you how unlucky I’ve been, I’ver scored over 1,500 in all three playoff games in since ’03, but I’ve only won one of those games.

13 of 41WHY #5I’m giving team Jeff/Colby the 5th spot, but they could easily be 7th or 8th. They’re 25 loses hurts (they’ve never had a winning regular season), espeically when you look at their 4-14 divisional record. However, they’ve always been able to score, 5th in scoring, including the season high in ’04. They knocked out over 1,000 in 34 games and they’ve cracked 1,500 an impressive 13 times. They made it to the post-season twice, making it to the finals in ’05. They’ve also produced six high scores, an average of two per season.

10 of 41WHY #6It wasn’t easy keeping Bob at six, especially since he’s one of three teams to win a title over the past three seasons, but I can’t ignore some facts. He’s only 9th in the league in scoring and has missed the playoffs twice in those three season, including last season’s last place finish. Worst yet, he leads the league in weekly low scores with eight. However, Bob’s second half of ’04 was one of the most impressive stretches in league history, leading him to a division title and a championship…enough to put him in the top half.

13 of 41WHY #7The league’s most average team sits at number seven. He’s actually been pretty decent, sixth in scoring with five weekly high scores. He did finish above .500 once in ’03 and has made it to the semi’s in two straight playoffs. He’salso one of three teams to make it to the post-season in all three seasons. However, the problem is Dave hasn’t really done anything great. He hasn’t made it to a title game, he hasn’t won a division and is below .500 in both the regular season and divisional record.

10 of 41WHY #8Rob has had a strange career in Robioland. Last year’s injury-plague season sent his point average down near the bottom and we can’t forget the fact that Rob has never had a winning season, but Rob’s opponent’s have scored the 2nd most points the past three seasons. If he was in a different division his record could be a lot better. He’s also scored over 1,500 points in ten games and he has twice beaten a #2 seed in the first round.

5 of 41WHY #10Matt had a very successful ’05 season, but that was his only winning season in three years. Also, despite winning the division last season, he’s only gone 8-10 in the division. His 16,905ppg is 7th in the league and despite the fact he earned a Robioland record 27-straight 1,000 games, he’s only managed to crack 1,500 points five times. He’s also only produced a single high score.

He’s also only averaged 16,268ppg, 10th in the league. Worse yet, he’s won zero playoff games and while producing five weekly low scores, he hasn’t produced a high score in the last three seasons.

5 of 41WHY #11Yes, it’s not easy putting a team with a winning three-year record at number 11, but I can’t ignore the numbers. Depite her impressive 22 wins and ten wins in the division, she’s scored the 2nd least points, while her opponents have produced the least amount of points. She has only one high score in the past three years and has failed to break 1,000 points 13 times, the second most in the league. She has made the playoffs twice, but has failed to escape the first round.
