Rob Murray

The Site

In the Spring of ’03, Robio creates the Robioland Football Site – September 8, 2004

In 1999, the league was simply a Ruby Tuesday league, which is why our league is rrtf.cbssportsline.com (The ‘rrtf’ stands for ‘Robio’s Ruby Tuesday Football’). Back then, pretty much nobody had computers. So to keep track of the league, I had to take everyone’s team and put all the info into our league myself on cnnsi.com. Every week I would print out the results and bring them to work. Starting in 2000, more people had computers and I switched over to CBS Sportsline and we’ve been there ever since.

However, at that time, once the season was over, all info/stats disappeared when the next season began. Luckily, I printed up all season’s results and stored them away. Around 2003, CBS started to keep all the stats, but of course our league starting in 1999, so they weren’t updated. I wasn’t too happy about that of course. A year earlier, I bought the domain name, robioland.com. I used it for photos, video and some work stuff.

After the 2003 season though, I decided to take robioland football to the next level. I’m not really sure when I started, but it took me months to design the site, create the spreadsheets and enter all the data, and onSeptember 8, 2004I revealed the greatest documented history of fantasy football. I only cringe when I realize I will have to keep updating this damn thing until I’m dead.
