2010’s All-Robio Teams

LEAGUE MVP: Arian Foster (Griff) Quarterbacks always score the most points, so I use different factors when deciding the league MVP. Foster dominated the rest of the running backs. In fact, only five running backs have scored more in one season in 11 years of Robioland Football.

FIRST TEAM “ALL-ROBIO”

QB – Aaron Rodgers (Rich C) This is Calderon’s third straight year with the top QB. It’s also the first time an All-Robio QB was traded to another team mid-season. Rodgers led all players with 4,349 total points.

RB – Arian Foster (Griff)  The 10th round pick out of Houston has blown away all running backs. He’s averaging 303ppg, 45 more points than the number two guy on this list.

RB – Adrian Peterson (Robio) This is actually AP’s first ever appearance on the first-team. A bit stunning if you ask me. He is the only other back besides Foster to break 3,000 points this season. I’ve now produced a first-teamer in 11 of my 12 years in this leauge.

WR – Brandon Lloyd (Bob) Lloyd is probably the most shocking player on this list. He came out of nowhere to average 227ppg, the most in league among receivers.

WR – Roddy White (Rich C)  Thanks to Dwayne Bowe’s donut last week, White will be Calderon’s third All-Robio this season. Not bad for a guy who had none prior to 2008.

TE – Antonio Gates (Rich C)  He missed two games and most of two others, yet he still out-scored the second best tight end by 484 total points. He averaged 206ppg, becoming the first TE to average over 200 per game.

PK – David Akers (Colby)  Is Akers the greatest fantasy kicker ever? This is his third First-team All-Robio and his second in a row. I had him for half of the season, but cut him on his bye-week and never got him back.

DEF – Steelers Defense (Rich B)  They averaged 192ppg, which would make them the sixth best wide receiver in the league. Just goes to show that this league has the best defensive scoring in all of fantasy football.

SECOND TEAM “ALL-ROBIO”

QB – Michael Vick (Matt)  If Vick had played a full season, he’d clearly be the top QB and top player. His 416ppg is above and beyond all others. However, because of injury, he’s only sixth among quarterbacks in scoring. Still, his scoring average is enough to bump him up to second-team.

RB – Peyton Hillis (Rich B) Hillis becomes Burrier’s first All-Robio player since LT, although he’s just second-team. Of course it’s more impressive since he didn’t even start until week three.

RB – Jamaal Charles (Griff) Griff’s second back to appear on this list. Charles leads the league with over six yards per rush. He’s received 20+ carries only three times all season though, which is how he lost out on the first-team.

WR – Dwayne Bowe (Don)  His zero fantasy points in week one cost him the first-team. However, second-team is pretty good considering he was the 10th receiver taken.

WR – Greg Jennings (Matt)  He averaged 350ppg in his last three to jump all the way to second-team. Overall, Matt missed out on having a first-teamer, but he has two second-teamers and one third-team player.

TE – Vernon Davis (Bob)  Davis finished second among tight end in points and is the third player on the second-team that was traded at some point in the season.

PK – Dan Carpenter (Rich B)  The Dolphins kicker actually missed six field goals this year, but he had at least five field goal attempts in a game three times.

DEF – Packers Defense (Bob)  They suffered a handful of injuries, but still remain one of the best D’s in the league.

THIRD TEAM “ALL-ROBIO”

QB – Tom Brady (Bob)  He averaged a stunning 480ppg, producing three 500+ games in his final four games.

RB – LeSean McCoy (Matt)  The best part of Matt’s three “All-Robio” players is the fact that all three were traded to him (Vick/Colby, Jennings/Robio, McCoy/Rich C)

RB – Maurice Jones-Drew (Don)  The quietest of the All-Robio players. He came on strong at the end, averaging 280 in his last six games.

WR – Calvin Johnson (Rich C)  He was battling for the top spot all season, but too many injuries to Lions’ quarterbacks cost him some points down the stretch. Still for Calderon, one first-team and one second-team reciever ain’t too shabby.

WR – Terrell Owens (Colby)  Just a month ago, Colby had a shot at being the first person to have two first-team All-Robio wide receivers. However, with Nick getting hurt and Owens’ numbers dipping, he’ll have to settle with one third-team receiver.

TE – Jason Witten (Robio) His 124ppg was the third best, but still 77 points less than Antonio Gates. Overall, I now have one first-teamer and two third-teamers.

PK – Matt Bryant (Robio)  Rob Bironas actually scored more total points, but since he’s a free agent kicker, he’s not eligible for an All-Robio

DEF – Bears Defense (Eric)  The only All-Robio player to not be on a playoff team. Eric’s lone bright spot.
