2009 Homer Rankings

Matt loves his Eagles, Masterson loves his Jets, Robio always swings towards the Cowboys, but who is the real homer? It’s time to figure out who remains the league’s member who always drafts players from his own team? I think I know everyone’s favorite team. Giant fans are Jeff, Bob and Calderon. David and Burrier are Patriots fans. Eric and Don go Dolphins, while Molly and Griff are all about the Buccaneers.

#1 (tie) Rob Masterson – 1.71 Jets per draft Can’t blame him for taking two Jets this year, but Favre was traded away quickly because of Cap issues.

#1 (tie) Rich Burrier – 1.71 Patriots per draft Rich took another two Patriots late, including Ben ‘fucking’ Watson for the 3rd straight year, despite never starting him.

#3 Matt Neatock – 1.67 Eagles per draft Shockingly, only one Eagle, the defense. What? No Reggie Brown for the fourth time?

#4 Jeff Greenblatt – 1.60 Giants per draft Three of his eight Giants just so happened to be Tiki Barber (twice as a keeper).

#5 Bob Castrone – 1.00 Giants per draft Bob added two more Giant backs to his resume, keeper Jacobs and his insurance policy in Ward.

#6 Eric Vozzola – 0.750 Dolphins per draft After three-straight years of Ronnie Brown, Eric finally leaves the draft with no Fins.

#7 Robio Murray – 0.700 Cowboys per draft I kept the Cowboys Defense, but they never performed and cost too much to keep.

#8 Don Vozzola – 0.625 Dolphins per draft After a 1-15 season, its tough to convince any homer to take any player. Don took nobody in 2008.

#9 Molly Coomer – 0.500 Bucs per draft Molly’s always good for a late-round backup running back, but Molly ignored the Bucs this year.

#10 (tie) Griff Coomer – 0.500 Bucs per draft After taking five Buccaneers in five years, Griff has now gone two straight years without one.

#10 (tie) David Hightower – 0.500 Patriots per draft A year after taking three Patriots, David pulled the trigger on only one keeper, Tom Brady, who played one quarter this season.

#12 Rich Calderon – 0.167 Bucs per draft And it only took six seasons. Rich grabbed his first Giant player ever (actually it was a defense), which might explain his 9 wins.
